MPW Service
Hua Hong NEC’s Multi-Product Wafer ("MPW") shuttle project test wafer program helps lower production costs for the customers. The MPW shuttle program is available on 0.35um, 0.25um and 0.18um platforms and mixed-signal and RF/CMOS processes. It is design to meet the customer's demand for faster time-to-market and low costs.

MLM Service
To provide customers an alternative for low-volume production, Shanghai Hua Hong NEC developed its patented Merge-Layered Mask ("MLM") service which puts multiple layers on the same plate. MLM service can substantially reduce mask cost by up to three-quarters of a dedicated mask set cost. Customers receive the whole wafer instead of cut out die. The quantity of wafers ordered can therefore be reduced.

MLM is also a good vehicle for design or IP validation. It offers greater flexibility than MPW since there is no need to wait for other shuttle passengers.
